Includes papers of Larsen, company president and founder of the town of Metaline Falls, fellow Dane Jens E. Jensen, secretary-treasurer, and W.L. Zeigler, mining engineer, relating to their business and community activities, school board membership, war bond drives, insurance sales, politics, and the Metaline Zinc Lead Mining District.

Lewis P. Larsen came to the United States from Denmark in 1895 and settled in Salt Lake City. In 1897 he went to Wallace, ID and entered the mining business, forming the partnership of Larsen & Greenough. Larsen left Idaho in 1910 and established the town of Metaline Falls, Pend Oreille County, WA in conjunction with development of deposits of cement rock by the Inland Portland Cement Co. at the site.
